HOW I GOT HERE

My Story

It was 3 a.m. the night before I started my new career as a Financial Advisor.

I was 25 years old with no formal education in finance, no network in my new city, and a career ahead of me that depended entirely on one thing: getting people to take my calls.

I sat straight up in bed like I had been shaken out of a dream.

I knew the statistics—most advisors fail within the first five years, and the number one reason why? They run out of people to call.

And here I was, about to risk it all, and step into an industry where relationships were everything… and I had no one.

“Who the heck is going to meet with me?”

I learned quickly that passion alone wasn’t going to make me successful. I had the grit, the product knowledge, and the work ethic — but none of that mattered if I didn’t get in front of people.

So I got to work. I met as many people as I could. I learned — on the spot — how to network, how to stand out, how to quickly position myself as an expert, and how to add real value to people’s lives. In my first year as a financial advisor, I had 524 meetings, and expanded my network to over 1,000 people.

Over the next 6 years, I delivered an average of 20 financial wellness workshops per year, was an early adopter of technology and fee-based planning, and created and implemented scalable business systems. With a thin budget, and no business partners, I optimized everything — from processes to client outreach. The best thing I did throughout this journey was reaching out to people I admired and asking for mentorship.

One mentor, in particular, said something that stuck with me.

Figuring It Out - Fast

“Get to know as much about yourself as possible.”

At 25, I thought I already knew myself pretty well (ha!!). But I took that advice to heart. Every chance I got, I leaned into feedback, assessments, personal and professional growth opportunities, understanding my role in my successes AND failures, — anything that helped me develop my self-awareness.

To be fair, this approach wasn’t new to me. I had always been obsessed with learning about humans. The first time I took the StrengthsFinder Assessment, I was 17 years old, and the rest is history. Throughout my adult life, I’ve been a consistent student of myself - through tools like MyersBriggs, DISC, Predictive Index… you name it.

But in 2017, I discovered the Enneagram, and that’s where things really get interesting. This tool fast-tracked my self-awareness in a way nothing else had before, and more importantly, it helped me understand others in a whole new way. What I appreciated most about this tool, was that it didn’t just tell me what I was good at, or what jobs I was best suited for. It showed me why I do what I do, see the world the way I see it, and it highlighed the patterns I fall into repeatedly. Most importantly, it showed me how to overcome.

As I started implementing the knowledge I gained from this tool, some interesting things started happening.

  • My tedencies shifted from frustration with others who were different than me, to acceptance and curiosity of them.

  • I stopped taking it as personally when a prospect ghosted me.

  • I stopped beating myself up for craving joy instead of the constant grind.

  • My relationships improved.

  • I had greater clarity about the business I wanted to build, rather than the one everyone told me I should.

A Leap of Faith

…& everything changed.

In 2021, the stars aligned, and I decided to sell my financial planning practice, became Enneagram-accredited, participated in a 4-month Emotional Intelligence Training, and started coaching, consulting, and speaking full-time.

Since then, I’ve helped countless financial professionals master the human side of leadership—elevating their emotional intelligence, growing their businesses, and creating relationships that drive real success.

Today, I’ve…

✅ Coached and trained financial professionals from Fortune 200 companies to Broker-Dealers to RIA’s to Banking Institutions and solo-practitioners.

✅ Delivered keynotes and workshops to thousands of professionals.

✅ Helped clients increase their referrals, retention, and revenue by developing stronger relationships and trust-driven leadership.

✅ Built a framework that blends business strategy with emotional intelligence to create sustainable success.

And, here is what I know to be true:

The most successful financial professionals aren’t just the smartest in the room. They’re the ones who understand people, lead with confidence, and build relationships that last.

And, that’s what I help them do.

I shifted my business model to be more service-based and comprehensive. I created a customer journey and service model that made people feel seen, heard, and understood, which led to more referrals, higher-value engagements, and deeper client trust.

But, honestly, the industry itself felt stale to me.

Turns out, the things I loved most about financial services were the people, not the numbers or the planning.

I had ideas, passions, and innovative ideas that went beyond managing money. Simultaneously, I found myself spending more and more time mentoring advisors, helping them develop markets, systemize their businesses, and take better care of their clients.

And I couldn’t stop talking about the Enneagram — because every time I shared it, people walked away with insights that changed the way they worked, led, and connected.

WHAT I BELIEVE

I believe that you don’t have to choose between success and fulfillment.

Of course, we want you to make more money, but that’s not the full story. When we align your business and lifestyle with the impact you actually want to have - that’s where real success happens.

This approach shapes everything I do, and will be the foundation of the work we do together.

My approach is rooted in:

1. Authenticity

Success is about more than money - it’s about building real, trust-based relationships with clients, teams, and colleagues through being your authentic self.

2. Practical Growth

Not just fluff. Everything we do is made for real-world application, actionable strategies, and tangible results that help you grow your business and leadership. We’ll give you a clear path forward and tools and frameworks to help you make decisions and grow.

I hate to break it to you, but financial services is rated one of the least emotionally intelligent industries. This is a problem for a fewreasons:

  1. The reputation of the industry determines whether or not people see you as a “used car salesman” or a true asset to their life.

  2. Money is maybe the most emotional / sensitive topic for the majority of people to discuss.

  3. The higher up in leadership you go, the exponentially more important your emotional intelligence becomes for your overall success.

3. Emotional Intelligence

The good news, though, is when you improve your EQ, you will have greater accountability to yourself and your results, you’ll become a better leader, and your life satisfaction AND overall success will improve.

4. Fun & Engagement

Life is too short to do things we hate all the time. I believe that our careers, learning, leadership, and business-building should be engaging and fun. We spend the majority of our lives away from those we love, at work. So, let’s make it enjoyable.

ALL THE FACETS OF ME

There’s more to me than what meets the eye.

WHY I DO THIS WORK

I do this work because I’ve seen too many talented financial services professionals burn out, get stuck in overwhelm & frustration, or ultimately leave the business because success & fulfillment felt out of reach.

My mission is to change that. I help financial professionals master the human side of leadership so they can have careers and businesses that are both profitable and fulfilling.
